With Conversation: A Morning for Local Hospitality Owners
Running an independent hospitality business right now is no small task. Between guests, staff, suppliers, and the constant juggling act of keeping things running smoothly, it’s easy to lose the headspace to step back and think about what’s really working… or what could work better.
That’s exactly why I’ve created With Conversation, a relaxed, two-hour morning designed to give hospitality owners the space to pause, share ideas, and leave with practical insights they can put straight back into their businesses.
Why now?
The hospitality industry has had a challenging few years, and the pressure on independent operators has never been greater. Many owners are wearing every hat, managing teams, running operations, handling compliance, and trying to stay creative all at once.
I see this every day in my work with cafés, bars, and restaurants, brilliant people with great ideas, who simply need time and support to see their spaces with fresh eyes.
With Conversation was created to give them exactly that.
What to expect
The first session takes place at The Whippet & Pickle, Holmfirth on Thursday 6th November at 10am.
It’s free to attend, and open to local hospitality owners and operators who want to take a couple of hours out of the daily rush to connect, reflect, and recharge.
Over coffee, we’ll explore:
How design and layout can impact guest spend and staff flow
Common compliance and planning pitfalls (and how to avoid them)
Small seasonal updates that can make a big difference heading into Christmas
You’ll leave with ideas, examples, and connections that make your next steps clearer, whether that’s a design tweak, an operational shift, or simply a new way of thinking about your space.

The goal isn’t another meeting or “networking thing”. It’s about community, bringing together local hospitality owners who understand the realities of running a business today, and creating a space to learn from one another.
